Common questions
Does OwnCart take a commission on restaurant orders?
No. OwnCart charges 0% commission on orders. You pay a flat ₹10,000 per outlet per year for the Restaurant plan. Payment gateway fees (for example Razorpay) and Meta's WhatsApp message charges are billed separately.
How much do WhatsApp messages cost?
Meta charges per message. Current rates we bill: marketing ₹0.98, utility ₹0.14, authentication ₹0.14. From 1 October 2026 Meta charges ₹0.14 per message. Because the menu opens as a page inside WhatsApp, an order needs only a few messages instead of a long chatbot conversation.
What is included in the free plan?
Upload a photo or PDF of your menu and OwnCart's AI builds your digital menu. You get a QR code for each table and a starter website, so guests can see your menu the same day. Upgrade to the Restaurant plan to take paid orders.
Can customers pay cash on delivery?
Yes, if you allow it. Online payment and cash on delivery are switched on or off separately per outlet, and you can set a higher minimum order value for cash-on-delivery orders.
What is the Own Suite?
The Own Suite bundles OwnCart ordering (₹10,000), OwnChat WhatsApp marketing (₹5,000) and OwnRewards Standard loyalty (₹10,000) for ₹25,000 per outlet per year. Instagram, SMS and RCS add ₹10,000. Message charges and gateway fees are billed at cost.
Can I have my own app?
Yes. OwnCart can build a mobile app in your restaurant's name for ₹74,999 one-time, ready in 4 weeks, plus your OwnCart, OwnChat and OwnRewards subscriptions. Play Store and App Store listing depends on their approval time.
How much does OwnRewards cost?
From ₹1,499 a month billed yearly (Starter), ₹2,499 (Growth) and ₹6,999 (Pro); GST extra, with a 14-day free trial. In the Own Suite, OwnRewards Standard is ₹10,000 per outlet per year.
